Hey Cal, I think we should get back to BOTM and forget about my poor attempt at humour.  ;D

Maybe a BOTM with black powercoated rims would a good idea.  Whatcha think Sam?  Heh, no need to answer, I heard ya puke from here.

Nope! No Sir! Not A Chance!

Even with not riding anymore and as much of a shame as this sounds, it will sit in the garage.  My Garage!  I will pass it down to my boy if I ever drum up the nerve to do it.  He is only 11 right now, I remember me on a street bike starting from 14 yo, I see soooooo much of me in him and that just scares the chit out of me.

alright guys, unless I am missing something Eric did not accept the nomination, which leaves Ed's K1 with the only sohc4 candidate. I know my dads cb450 was nominated but I am not going to accept on principle that it is not an sohc4, this IS an sohc4 forum after all ;) so unless Eric accepts by tonight that would leave Ed's K1 to win by default. I know it's later already but Sam do you have anything to say/add?

I know Steve (who nominated it) mentioned it in a post that he was nominating it but did he contact Eric?

I've done it now, so we have to wait for Eric.

It was seconded by Cal, well sort of. ::)

You are a man of exceptional principles too, Chef. Good on you for abiding tradition over vanity. I'm sure you never built the bike with BOTM in mind or as a driver anyway. Just so you know, it is a very respected and admired thread, and you, Young Sir, are a delight to know.

Ed's bike is tremendous also and every bit deserving. But the heart strings were struck pretty darn hard by the backstory on your build. Greatly appreciate you sharing it with us.

All the best!

Are there not any more bikes finished up this month?  Previous builds not nominated?  Surely, there must be more bikes out there worthy of BOTM.

There are plenty Ed, just no one nominating :( Sam I know we are past our usual date of nomination time so what say you about waiting for Eric? is September coming up 100% Ed?

Justin,

I have no problem waiting.  I would rather wait for more competition. Winning by default is just not in the spirit of the competition as far as I am concerned.

Guys, the biggest problem with BOTM is that nominees are not accepting the nominations.
This could be because they don't visit the page and don't know they have been nominated.
Please visit the RULES thread in the sticky threads at the top of the page and read RULE 9.

Ed I agree completely. I want competition! Glad you're on board. Eric yes sir just post another reply stating that you do accept and we're off!

If we can get blackfin to accept today that would be wonderful.
