come spend a couple of days in the truck with me,from my vantage point I can see almost 360 and everyone has phones in their lap/hands/ear and are just in their own world,i get to sound the horn at least twice a day to jolt the inattentive that the red light is now green and isn't getting any greener,if you don't wear a helmet your a #$%* head full stop.

We have had a helmet law in NY since 1970. I do believe in personal freedom, but I also believe in common sense.

Sorry to hear about you coworker.
Common sense is so rare, it should be considered a Super Power!
You never see a motorcycle parked outside of a psychiatrist's office!

Yesterday i nearly got taken out twice, firstly by a women who had to do a U-turn in front of me in her big bull barred 4 wheel drive , with the turning circle of a truck she had to go off the road first so she didnt have to do a 3 point turn.    Secondly by some old fu#ker in a BMW who was sitting on my backside and had had enough of me doing the speed limit..

After that i'd had enough, I went home and drank some beer.  It's getting dangerous out there, wear your gear..

People around here don't even know the rules at a 4 way stop. I caught up on Trevors thread and was shocked to see the guy that hit him was already on parole for killing someone in a dwi accident. I hope he does the entire 25 years, parole didn't seem to work before.

Another motorcycle accident just a block or so up from our house about 30 minutes ago. Blocked off and redirected traffic and lots of flashy lights.

Uggghhh.

News just confirmed the rider has passed away.

That's two guys in less than 24 hours here in Topeka. We had one earlier this year, too.
