Head gasket is leaking on my replacement engine and instead of taking it all out, fixing it, and putting it back in, I'd like to cut enough of the frame to work on the engine without removing it. Has anybody done anything like this? Does it seem like a reasonable idea? I think I'd also do it in such a way that I can easily bolt in/out the piece of frame that I cut out so future engine work is also easy. I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance! You guys always do a great job helping me out!

I make a kit that you can use without any welding..   (easy to go back to original) There is others that require welding.
I will have more kits in a few weeks.

Awesome! I'm definitely interested. Mind if I ask what it would cost?

Check this thread were Franks frame kit is installed by several. I recommend how I cut the frame.

I had to do it when I did not want to pull engine again for cyl stud replacement and head refurbish. I also realized that I'll have future use for it. For a CB750 in use this is a must. I have changed and timed cam several times and fixed thread problems in the head.

I'll pull engine coming winter and removal of head cover, head and cyclinder before will make it easier. Same when going back in. I'll mount cylinder, head when back in frame. I hope the piston into cylinders assemble will be easy job in frame.
