R.I.P. - SOHC Digger
« on: September 24, 2015, 05:32:10 AM »
Sad news guys.  One of our own, Robert F. Haag, member name SOHC Digger, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on September 14, 2015.  I found out just today when a relative of his sent email to the admin account.

If you knew Robert and want to do something in his memory, his family has a page up to collect money to help take care of his two young children.

https://www.gofundme.com/roberthaag

This is a forum thread on Robert's 750F chopper project:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=69745.0

Here is a news report of the accident:

Take care out there everyone.

Yes, that Digger, he's done a few racks for me.  I'm feeling pretty bummed out right now.

This is really a sad day. The limited dealings I had with him were absolutely fantastic, a great guy.... It's getting more and more dangerous on a motorcycle, these days.

RIP digger. Man I hate that and it's awful he left two children behind. We have lost more than one member here and it is often a rider with no helmet. Sad.

This is so sad! I can't believe I missed out on meeting with him. I was going to invite Digger to join Sean and I for the PZ ride this weekend. He's the only other member I know who lives close by. Its true what they say, you never know who may no longer be with you by the time you're done blinking your eyes.

RIP my Brother. Others will live because of your organ donations. In that way, you will live on in them.

Glenn thanks for sharing the GoFundMe. This is really a sad event. He was a great person who always provided top notch help with the carbs and now has saved the lives of several people with his organs.

I hope all here can help support his family in one way or another. The smallest donation will go far so for anyone leary of GoFundMe I know several families who have used this. It's great.

Saddest news I ever heard...and one of our own too. To take a great person and father from his kids and the driver just left the scene. What a coward and low life. RIP Digger...you certainly deserved better!
