xpel paint protection film
« on: October 29, 2015, 09:20:57 AM »
Hey has anyone tried using this stuff on wheels? I was thinking about how abused my new powder coated wheels are going to get, and I ran across this stuff. I guess it's mostly used for high end cars but I was thinking it could work for motorcycles? Maybe even forks or tanks. Anyone ever tried it?

I've used it on four wheeled vehicles with good results.

Biggest danger to your wheels are tire spoons, don't see much benefit and applying it would be a PITA. Maybe the fork legs, but again cost benefit pretty low.

Was just thinking out loud is all. Never had see anything like it before. But yeah cost and time seems like it maybe not worth it.

Think it would look obvious on your wheels also.

if your rims are powder coated, they should be very durable. I run PC rims on 2 bikes and never have an issue with road grit/damage to them. Plus, a wet cloth, and they clean right up!
