George Barris RIP

Just heard, George has passed on at the age of 89. RIP.


He designed some of the most iconic TV cars including the original Batmobile.

When I built model cars back in my younger days I frequently used his custom cars as inspiration for my  models. RIP to a very talented man...Larry

Remember watching the tv show as a kid in the 60's. I think I remember hearing that the original batmobile was a Lincoln. Just googled it and they it was a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car.

It was a cool looking car for a concept, but Barris made it even better.
