Its that time again people. Race time!!! Less than,30 days to go until the Man Cup race at the Rock. Hopefully everyone has their equipment ready to go. I haven't taken my bike out of the trailer since the first race. I'll start my maintenance work next week. I've got to put the head back on the wife's drag bike this week so I can test it by next weekend.

Okay, so who's coming to race and who's coming to spectate?? The weather should be nice for this one. I know Bill and Trey are planning to race. Not sure about the guys from Florida.

I will be there on the st1100. I made several efforts at acquiring a sohc750, but they fell thru. Will ride the bike from Birmingham (500 miles), camp, race , then ride it home. Got new tires and will bring clutch spares.

We're on the final few days before the race. I've got to change oil in a few bikes, install a launch light on my F model and then load up for the 2 hour trip to the ROCK. Did i say its only a 2 hour trip? I'm appreciating the closeness more than you can imagine. Makes the 7 hour ride to Valdosta and the 10 hour trip to Memphis more palatable.

Is everyone else ready?? Wilbur, Larry, Jon, Mike, Trey, Bill?? Whats going on fellas?? I hope to roll in on friday morning if all goes well. We'll be staying at the track in the RV this time.

Lets have some fun and make some rounds guys.

We made it a few hours ago. Bill and Donny were all ready here along with Jon weeks. Ratbikemike rolled in also. It seems the turnout is a little light so far.

Bill found a problem with the little auto. Cam chain issue so it can't be fixed here at the track. He brought a stock F2 so now Jon Weeks will be riding it instead. Bill was wrenching on Purple Rain when I last visited his pit area since it hadn't been cranked since the last race. A part of my regular team rolled in this evening. We expect 2 more in the morning. The wife and I have our 3 bikes teched in so we'll be ready for tomorrow morning's first time run. I'm going to see if I can install a launch light on my bike in a few minutes. I need a bit more consistency on my launch rpm. I'm not one to wrench on a bike at the track but this is an enhancement and no crucial to my ability to race the bike. In this case, it nice to stay at the track in the RV with the bikes close by .Will try to provide an update after first time run if time allows.

Yes, we have raced. Bill is thrashing, just another very hot event. Bill is on his purple bike as head gaskets and flat heads take more time than he has. He is making the carbs better and changing the seat angle to stay near the front of the seat.
Racing? Everybody lost in the 2nd round except me. I was on Bill's spare 78 750F stocker. The Worm has a problem. (Larry R. message me) I lost 3rd round with a fading clutch. More tomorrow and a picture or two after I get home.
