Looking good, CBGB!
Just happened to notice that the bike has risers that bolt on to the triple tree.
If it was mine (which it sadly isn´t...), I would ditch the risers and clubman bars an go for clip-ons instead.
Would give a nice, clean, low and compact front end.
Yes, your quite right. There are problems with the stock risers, like thier lack of rigidity since they are mounted with bushings. It was a matter of cost. This is a low budget bike. The clip ons are about $100, and the clubmans were less than $20
No way man. Keep the risers, but mount them upside down, under the trees. This will lower them nicely and you won't have to pay a dime.
That project is coming along great. The paint came out perfect! Did you strip all the paint off before repainting it or did you just sand it smooth? I have a half stripped tank that needs powdercoating, so I'm wontering if there is a trick...

The paint was stripped. There were many layers of some really strange paint on this tank. I've been checking your site Chris.
Your bike's a real beauty.
I love that flyscreen. I'm considering one for my cb550.
What kind of front fender did you go with? Does it have enough steel in it to provide the fork brace function?
The fender fits in there pretty tight. It seems rigid enough to me. I wish the fit were easier, but I think it looks just right.
