I have somebody here local that sleeved a cylinder for me on a 2006 Honda Foreman.  It's been running perfectly for three years and the cylinder is all the way back to a standard bore size. Not sure if your bike has a sleeve but it's worth a look.

Rick,
I'm not sure what this guy or PO did to this 3-wheeler but the outer cylinder aluminum is cracked vertically and I haven't even removed it yet to see what they tried to do.. I know it has a sleeve from the factory.
I want to find another complete cylinder for it and if that one needs a sleeve I want to get it to someone who can properly sleeve it to hold-up for years.
I look on Feebay and they want upwards of $200 for a used one.. The 83-85' ATC200x has wider fins on it compared to the 185 or 200s 3-wheelers of the 80's and the guy wants to get another one just like his original.
Do you know anyone who has one ?

I will ask around on the Honda ATV Forum and see if anybody has one. Parts for three wheelers are getting tough to find.

There are now a few on Ebay well less than 200 bucks. Will any of these work for you?

Rick,
I've been looking through ebay too but the last ones I noticed were plenty of $.I'm hoping to find one that needs boring for less than $100.
The 1986' model ATC200X won't fit as it's similar to the TRX in design w/ a hole for the cam chain tensioner on the side of the cylinder block;the 83-85' are very similar to the XR200R 2-wheeler but w/ wider fins, they're 1st generation 200x.
Thanks for your help Rick.

Let's see if these will work for you.  Hard to tell if the price is $75 or $125 but you can ask.

I have no experience with that guy and did not notice that he only has four posts on the Honda ATV Forum.  I think I'd approach this transaction with caution.  Maybe try doing it with Paypal for some buyer protection.  Ask him to post it as a Buy It Now on Ebay for even more protection though this may increase the price he needs.

As we suspected,  caution should rule here. My guess is that he ran away quickly when we asked for pictures, Ebay Buy It Now and PayPal Buyer Protection.  Scammers are everywhere.

Rick,
I noticed you have a few Honda CT90's  :)
When i was a kid my dad had a 1971 Red CT90 w/ the vertical slots in the exh. heat shields.I had a neighbor down the street w/ a new 1972 CT70H and we would race down the road(heads down) side by side and the 90 would walk right past him. Then his dad traded the CT70 for a CL100 and he loved that and it turned where he would walk right past me at over 60 mph.I spent many years riding that CT90 on and off road(w/o a license  ::) when i was in my early teens) and only used the low range 2 or 3 times, just too low.I rebuilt it for my dad when I was 16 and he kept it for many more yrs. until my 3) little brothers got a hold of 'the girls bike' and they killed it sorry to say.
I now enjoy riding my little 81' CB125S w/ the 185 engine,it reminds me when I was a kid and still dreaming of fun places to go.

I remember those trike ATVs. Deathtraps! ;) They didn't corner very well but had those ginormous balloon tires.

yeah,
I've seen a guy doing a jump off the top of a hill and the front end of the trike got turned sideways on take-off and landed on top of him;take-off's have to be planned ahead.. I don't have the experience on a trike I would need to really fly like some of them who know their trike and the intended terrain.

But that CT90 in low range will almost climb the garage door.  I've been on a CT110 in low range on the side of a steep California mountain . . . climbing . . . at maybe 2 MPH and 6000 RPM.  I was impressed.   I also have a 72 CL100 that I like.   But I like just about any old Honda.  Just wish I would have kept my blue 71 Z50A from back then. So much fun . . .

They don't jump very well at all.  Very poor stability in landings -- no comparison to modern 4 wheelers.
