Great job.  The bike looks stunning.

Please remind me . .  is the paint Polynesian Blue or Planet Blue?

It sure looks like planet blue in the photos.
It's actually candy blue/green. When I hold up the iPhone in camera mode to take a photo the color on the phone screen is planet blue but the paint is candy blue/green just like on a K0.
Somehow the green component gets lost in the electronics.
I'm going to fiddle with the master cylinder and caliper adjustments some more but if I can't reduce the handle stroke some I may go to the 5/8" MC from one of the suppliers, it's a bit unsettling to have the handle come almost all the way back.
We are fortunate here to have Ethanol free 89 octane, I don't have to worry so much, this bike won't get a lot of miles put on it so I'm glad the fuel has some shelf life in it. The carbs were in pretty clean shape so I just had to put them in the ultrasonic, do some cleaning and put new consumables inside.
I will be sorting through the extra stuff, I may be selling some of the old parts that are still useful.

I used a 16mm master from a Suzuki Bandit with my dual disc swap.  I had initially used a 14mm and had a similar result of spongy handle.  The Bandit MC sure don't look period but the bike stops way better than any SOHC I have ridden.

I've been sorting through stuff still deciding.
Postage from here would be an issue for larger things. Flat rate box works for small things.
I will post a list of what I have soon.

For those interested
I have some stuff available, I can post some photos if anyone is interested. Shipping from here other than a flat rate box may be a problem.
Some examples:
4 into 2 exhaust
Exhaust pipe flanges
Rear fender and light
Standard size set of pistons that seem fine
Oil tank with a brazed repair at the drain
A recovered seat
Rear grab rail
Horn
K3 style fork ears
K3 headlight shell
Left and right controls
Brake calipers no brackets
A set of rims, not bad shape

Let me know if any of this is needed.

All this stuff was working when I took the bike apart. All have the appearance of 43 year old parts. There are more parts available as I get through the pile.

I guess my last post fell into the cyber crack.
I was having some running and idling issues that were worrying me. It seemed fuel related. After some checking I noticed my 3-4 fuel line had developed a slight kink. It must have been enough to affect flow. I readjusted to straighten the line up and the problem went away. The fuel lines from Yamiya are a larger OD than the stock ones and it made routing a little touchy. All good now. No leaks at all so far, gotta love Hondabond.
I'm still carefully and gently breaking it in, so far so good. Here on Maui this is a good time to to ride, it's cool enough to wear some heavier clothes. In the summer we see a lot of riders in tank tops, shorts, flip flops and no helmets. Wow.

Melekalikimaka everyone

Have a merry, safe and happy Christmas and New Year all!

Does anyone know of a source for a rack for the back of my K3 750?  I'd like to get a little better one perhaps with a lower rear pad to make it easier for my wife to get on. I dont do metal fab so I'm thinking of seeing if I can get one made here, of course it's likely to be pretty $$$
Since I put a K0 tail light on the whole rack can be lower and more streamlined.

Everyone try to keep warm and Happy New Year!

Took it out for a spin but first had to fix a gremlin. It started on 3 cylinders, rats. Turns out the #3 plug cap/wire had backed out some and was not firing. I must not have screwed the cap into the wire well enough. Put it back in and all is well. I'd like to come up with a way to assure the wires don't work loose from the caps. It's all new wire, coils and caps.
We rode down to a place called Makena south of here, took a few glamor shots. Once again, iPhone7 does not render the green component of candy blue-green.
It runs great, shifts very smoothly. The 17-48 final gearing is nice around town. No redline stuff yet, too early.

One more note.
I'm using a stock MC with dual brakes. At first I was nervous about the lever travel but over time I got used to it and I think it also improved, even though I bleed with a vac bleeder. Hondaman said this would be the case. It feels great and stops fine. No squeals either.

This is way down the south and west face of the island. In the distance on the left is Kahoolawe island, formerly used for bombing practice by the Navy and now under remediation, Molokini Crater in the middle and the island of Lanai on the right.
As I drive it more and more between other demands for my time, I am really appreciating the solid feel of the improvements (fork rebuild, head bearings, swing arm bushings, Hagon shocks, tires, etc.). It really feels planted now. I am also liking the engine responsiveness. So far the spark plugs look pretty good. I will be taking it up the mountain soon so it will get a bit more steady road time so I can get a better read on jetting. Right now it's 108's with needles in the middle. Stock cam, Hondaman head restoration with no "hotrodding", just solid stock configuration, .5 mm over pistons, K0 no number exhaust, 17-48 gearing, stock air box and cleaner, no holes, ethanol free fuel.
After all the years since I had my K0 I never thought I'd be doing this but it's great. When it's broken in some more I will test the red line, but that is a ways off.

I'm revisiting my fuel lines to be sure there are no more kinks. I changed the lines to some black tubing I got from 4into1.com, it feels a bit more like it won't kink. Does anyone have a photo of the routing of the line right where it connects to the Petcock, especially the 1-2 line? I can't remember how it was when I took it apart. 3-4 seem obvious.
I put the 110 jets back in, had 108's. I also will be putting the vac gauges on for a recheck.

I usually hook the "far" carbs into the front spigot and the "near" carbs into the rear one. This seems to make a wider hose bend. The old 5.5mm hoses were indeed smaller OD than the modern ethanol-resistant ones, making the routing a little more touchy. The poly-feeling ones from MotionPro (maybe the same as yours from 4into1?) are softer and more flexy, but I had to add some 10mm wire clips to them to make them stop weeping fuel when the bike is hot. It was weeping at the petcock spigots, probably due to the softness of those new-type hoses. I just swapped back to the OEM hoses on my own, with the older 8mm clips. I was just testing the soft stuff to see how it worked.

For those who are stuck with the 1-spigot fuel petcocks and the "tee": the new hoses (all of them) are larger OD and this causes kinking all over the route(s). I have taken to making a 90-degree bent copper line (1/4" copper, from my swamp cooler!) at that first junction from the petcock to the hole (or over the bracket) to the first carb. This ends up with a short rubber hose to the copper bend, then back to the rubber for the rest of the trip. On custom bikes with even lower petcock heights, I have added a tee on top of the airbox, splitting this hose for the 2 carb feeds, into longer hoses to improve the suction to the tank. On all of these, it improved the flow at high speeds (interstate riding).

In any case: DON'T forget to install long vent hoses from the bowls to a quiet place (like up under the seat, or at LEAST to behind the airbox) to reduce turbulence in the bowls. This makes it flow better, too.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

The 4into1 hose is black, smaller OD and seems to bend better while holding its shape, so far so good. I have the little oem style clamps on them which by the way don't seem like much but they seem to work.
There really isn't any extra room under there between the rack, hoses and petcock, everything just clears.
By the way, I went back through and checked floats, which seem ok, idle air screws, which I DID have set too lean for sea level and went back to 110 jets. Does not seem nearly as cold blooded, have not had time for a long test run, will try to get to that soon.
I also went up to an 18 T front (18-48 now) sprocket, which just fits, the rear axle is all the way forward in the adjuster. I suppose if I want to recover an inch or so of wheel base I would need a 102 link chain.
Thank you for the input.
