What came in the mail today

See if this catches on?  Just a short paragraph about the packages you recived today.

So today i got three items. 

The first i got my package from 754.  Frank shipped out  the frame kit to me and this stuff looks great. I'm excited to cut up my bike.  Actually more excited about sliding the motor back in without messing up the hard work.

New rear shocks came from Dime City.  Very simple.  Black with crome.  Under a 100 bucks.  Not the best i know.  But... considering what i had,  100% better then the rusty crap that was on there.

The master cylinder came from ebay.  Mine was junk.  I plan to put rear sets on and i want to make the bracket and custom mount the master cylinder on the bracket.  It was a cheep way to get started on the design and mark up.

Nice parts.. What matters if they work well that's all sure they will be better than what you had from the sounds of things.. Like them shocks look really nice

The master cylinder is definitely Chinese, and a knock off. It was cheep. 10.00 US.  I realy got it to get a handle on size of the bracket i need to make for the rear sets.  Condtruction wise it looks good.  I haven't dry pumped it. So i haven't got a feeling about the functional side of it.  But it looks pretty good.  I fly a lot of RC stuff and a lot of it is Chinese so im no stranger to this kind of thing.  I kept all the shipping stuff.  Just in case it is good i can get more.   If its no good... for 10 bucks I'll frame it.

Beware of CCC  [cheap chinese crap]

It can cost you more in the long run when it needs to be replaced.  Buy quality!

Stev-o. Racer Fan.... i agree as well.  Its a cheep way of me getting a part in hand to use as a mock up tool.  I didn't want to spend money on something that i couldn't use.  As it turns out, i think this purchase will help me a lot.  Just to be able to hold it up there and see the size and spacing really gives me a good feel for the way it will fit.

I can understand that.  I have yet to source a rear MC for my bike originally set up for drum.  I will need to have my hands on a real part to figure out the linkage and where to mount it.

Exactly.  This what I'm saying.  I live a long way from a place i can go touch and feel. So this worked perfect for me. 

Next... rear sets.  Talk about expensive.   Geees!

look at TEC for rearsets. I just got mine in and was happy with the look/feel and they appear to be high quality

Sun wheel 2.15 x18, looks like Kawi hub, may relace to other hub.
Grimeca big caliper looks good.
Grimeca rear Master cyl, nice..Kosman pedal, even nicer..

Some of the chinese stuff is built to a price point and it can be real CCC but they can build quality product inexpensively.
Seller megactore  on ebay has some good stuff. This MC is one that is recommended by the CX/GL forums (maybe not a 1/2" but same design)
and it works very well. The fact it comes with a rebuild kit does not mean it is cheap or failure prone, merely the ability to rebuild it if you don't keep it clean and you need to down the road you have the rebuild kit without spending more or searching.

Dave... that looks like a great deal too.  Ill keep that in mind.    I mounted up the ones i got, today.  They went right on perfect.   The quality of the castings are very good. Finish is 8 out of 10.  I like the adjustment on the handles.  Six different settings that move the lever away or closer to the grip and dosent effect the settings for the brake or clutch.  Just moves it closer so you dont have to reach for it.  Pretty cool.  I'm still fussing with the front brake calipers so its not function tested yet.  But i have hopes that all will turn out well.

Today i got some LED turn signals.  No instructions.   China....   i would like to do a bench test.  Anybody have any ideas about how to connect these up.  Black is ground.  Good start.  Next....

I don't want to just start putting power to them.  I hear these LEDs can be sensitive to power not going the right way.

Two... $15.49. These look pretty good.   The Chrome is good qualit, not great . Some scratches. The first thing I don't like is there doesn't seem to be a cover over the diodes. 

The second issue..... look at the second photograph it looks like somebody glued in the LED assembly a little cockeyed.

Do you think these came with the resistor in the circuit?

Any thoughts on testing would be appreciated.
