I wonder if there's something screwy going on. We went from struggling to get that 79 to 222 in 7 months? And I've seen over 140 online a couple of times if i remember right. Just seems odd to me.

I asked Glenn if we'd suffered a bot attack but so far it seems inconclusive.

I still don't believe 222 though!

Would this have been during "Brimmergate" and some of the 222 users have just been guests keeping an eye on that one thread?

You know, I really wondered how it could jump like that but never thought about folks screwing with the forums like that! Sure would be cool, if the number was for real though.

Yeah hef, I've been kinda keeping up with it myself. Maybe, just maybe mind you, we could kick in a little extra the NEXT rime that you (or anyone else) suggest(s) that we go for a new record and do it this time. Maybe the timing was off before, I don't know. I DO know that we're capable. We're still gaining members regularly.

Thought I'd dig up this old thread, see if anyone remembered it.
We can do better than 222 as the most online ever  ;)

I havent followed this thread so someone might have posted this already.     On the 650 site with only 230 registered members the most online was 80.  Lot better ratio than here.

I've kept a close eye on the stats as they happen and I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you all.

At least half of those "users" were search agent bots. It's good that they notice our site because it gets us noticed on the search engines.  I suspect it's the same for most forums.

Heff's original post was to get the online community up above 100, then all of a sudden it exploded to 200+.

It would be decent if we could would pull together and show just what we CAN do! If we can kick it up there without being asked, why won't we do it foe the reason that someone has asked us to? ??? :-\ Makes No Sense To Me!
