in a syncronicitic coincidence I spent most of yesterday afternoon at work watching glen Campbell videos on youtube after having Wichita lineman stuck in my head for a week
a great singer and guitar player whose career got a big start working with phil spector on his wall of sound productions

Liked him playing along side John Wayne in the movie True Grit. He was talented singer and guitar player. He even played with the Beach Boys for a while when Brian Wilson took a leave of absence. RIP Mr. Campbell.

True Grit with John Wayne and Glen Campbell...great movie. Toured the filming locations in CO last year. Really like his music and style...RIP friend!

The wife and I made it to one of his concerts on his final tour, in French Lick IN. It was about the 50th or so show of over 100. He was still in pretty good form, but had to rely on the teleprompters. Until the solo came.

Hard to find long solos, but when you can they are ... really something.

yes i think we chatted about it then , i was lucky enought to see him on that last tour and he had lost none of his playing skill at all . rip

My wife and I saw him on his last tour: he was as nice a guy as the first time she met him, 30 years ago.
What a terrific talent, and a wonderful guy!
