OK, time to get serious. ;D This was my go-to album for evaluating audio systems, as it had a lot of dynamic frequency range, from the low frequency heart-beat to bells and cymbals on the high end.

Not that it needs to be said, but great album! Now, listen to it while watching Wizard of Oz. Start the music at the 3rd lion roar lol! We actually did this back in the day. It may or may not have been while under the influence of a certain herbal supplement. I noticed recently that you no longer have to que up the two, as youtube has it already synched together.

I first met Brenda in 1982 after moving to the Mojave Desert, where Joshua trees grow. I remember discussing if U2 had actually been there or not with her, after the CD came out.

Pink Floyd was and is for evaluating my psyche.  Saw DSOTM in '73 at the smallest venue they played it at (Charlotte Park Center).  Saw The Wall in NYC.

For evaluating sound systems, I would often use the song (actually album) I linked in post 122.  Keith Emerson's work and equipment spanned an incredible range.

Thanks for keeping this thread alive, scottly.  I look forward to what you're going to remind me of next...

Brenda once told me her first son was conceived at a Led Zeppelin concert. I just heard he is a grandfather now. ;)

I have a bootleg cassette of this show that's been one of my favorite live recordings of any band for over 25 years, but it didn't have a date or location on it, and it was incomplete.  I just stumbled across this video of that same show a couple of days ago, and it's the first time I've been able to hear the entire thing.  I could have easily been there in person, because I lived in Austin at the time, but I didn't discover MMW until a few months later.
