Thanks for the kind words. The seat isn't for everybody, that's for sure. After riding it a bit and feeling the vibration, I may have to make another seat. The vibrations through the nuts must be...well, nuts.

                Hey, about the seat, you never know until you give it a try huh? Myself, I've got visions of building m77' CB550K into a cafe racer of sorts (someday) and yet, I may not be able to handle the riding position (my 60 yr old body & all ) but, I 'm gonna give er' a go anyhow. I figure that a bike is built by an individual for that individual and that's the only one that really has to be pleased, you know? It's nice to get compliments from others though. Keep up the good work Chris.

The bike looks great Chris, it really came together in the end (not that I ever had doubts.) You mentioned decals, will that be on the tank? Because as it is, it is a little blank on the side there. All white. Although I can't think of anything that I would put there. What are you thinking?

Also, I've been trying to run my front forks with exposed spring and I'm concerned about the spring sitting directly on the top of the lower tube. Do you have anything between the spring and the rubber there?

Again, the bike looks great. Try to get a clip of it running, I want to hear those pipes!

Your bike looks fantastic.  I'll re-iterate what Scirocco88 says that the side of the tank looks too plain, but only from the side, your stripes look great!

I'm also curious as to what your plans are for the sides of the tank.  As I looked at it, this is the only thing that struck out at me as something I would change.  Everything else looks fantastic.  Very Nice!

Hi Gents:

Thanks for the kind words. My exposed springs ride on a plastic sleeve such that the springs never come into contact with the fork tubes. It is metal-on-metal where the spring meets the triple trees.

The tank needs a good polish to really make the clearcoat pop. I wanted to do this with the tank on the bike. Once this is done, I'm going to put the new MotoFiaccone logo on each side of the tank. I'm also putting "Fiaccone" on the generator cover. I don't have the right font on this PC, but the graphic below gives you an idea.



If you look over the gas cap, there is a small space for text. I'm putting some words there as well. All will be done in black reflective tape except the generator cover, which will be something different.

I second that, wholeheartedly! You have inspired me so much Chris, and I have to thank you again for that. Not only have I gotten ideas from you, but you lit the fire under my lazy butt to start really turning my pile of parts into a running beast.
