Thanks, guys.................3 more classes to run as long as the weather holds...........several other riders and a few big-name teams are taking note, especially since they are running a little slower with newer and bigger bikes. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If good conditions allow............I will still try to get a 150+mph run ;)............but will settle for what the motor and the salt gives me. The motor is running sweet but not pulling into the higher rpms (9000+) as desired except in the lower gears. On the 147+ run it felt good to have the air flowing along my back. That told me that its mostly aero-------not power--------at these speeds with a small motor.

If the motor is only turning 7200 in 5th at 147, the gearing is too tall! Try switching the front 17 for a 16, and see what the speed and RPM are. 16/45 may still be too tall, but the only way to lower the ratio any more would be with a larger rear sprocket that you don't have handy.

Just as important Scott, what revs was it turning on the 138.342 run ?
I am inclined to agree though mate, it defo sounds over geared.

Dennis,

Nice going buddy.👍

If you can remember, have someone take a number of pics of you on the bike in the full tuck position from the front, back, and side.  These pics are always best done on the salt with a clear background, most photogenic.😎

Go get em...

What gear was used on the 138 run? If it was with 4th, I'm guessing 10,000 plus. ;)

Frank is here...........at the motel ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
'
No success today but now running 16-43 and upping the jets from 120 to 125 and then 130.............windy today so no luck........chasing the M-CG record at 137.6.................Then to the fuel classes which are quite low.

One more 'crew' member to arrive in the AM for a total of 8 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Why up the main jets? Are you switching to methanol??  Otherwise, run the same mains that netted 147MPH, and concentrate on gearing. ;)
