Three years ago, I left the farm in favor of some school in the middle of a desert.
Where i didn't learn diddly except mistrust and contempt for the corporate hivemind.
They labeled me and tried to have me arrested on bogus claims.  Hardly a day goes by and I don't have to live with the scar they left in my memory.

But today, i'm gettin drunk on a plane.  Flyin to an industry show as a recognized craftsman.

I'm not a rowdy drunk. For some reason, I love drinking on a plane. I never understood why, but recently figured it out. It's just good relaxation after dealing with the airline stress.

Feels bad seeing the pics from Speed Week 2022.

Storm came in and flash flooded the race way.

Sad day for salt racing

Yes, my buddy from here in Texas drove all the way there and let me know it was cancelled.

You'd think they'd have an email list, or a website to post things on so that so many people could save the trip.

They do.

Yet the stormed blowed in the day after scrutineering/tech at speed week.  A very lucky few managed to get a run.
BMST event was scheduled for the 27th.  The track officials shared their videos from a "site inspection"
Where they invited Steve Huff Racing to bring their hydroplane.

Feels bad for the people that shipped their machines from out of country or over seas.

Oh, I didn't realize the timing was so late. Too bad there isn't an alternate location of that caliber nearby.
