Oil filter washer

Hi, need to make a new washer that sits between oil filter and the spring. Mine has gone awol.
Can anyone give me the sizes please...outside diameter, inside diameter, thickness.

Why make it when they are still available and cheap
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

 I don't have the numbers but as long as it fits over the bolt and is only wide enough to seat on the filter rubber it's good. They are thin though, I bought machine bushings at a farm store and honed the inside dia. Later, I bought a bag of 5 from cb750.com or Z1 parts. Most of the bikes that go through here have no washer. If I'm in the shop later I'll get a measurement.

Every time I see the subject of this thread I wonder why someone would want to wash an oil filter when they are so cheap, then I remember what it is actually about.

 1.15" x .800" x .040" as close as I can get with my recently dropped caliper.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

 I'm always cutting open the steel ones off my race car to check the engine condition and wonder why anyone would use an adapter to put a metal case one on a sohc4. Does anyone else let them drain off and then check inside the folds for debris?
 Has anyone else found the spring and washer on the wrong side of the filter?

According to the former CEO of Castrol The Netherlands all oil filters are in fact oversized as what differs a new engine from a totally worn one, is not more than maybe a teaspoon of metal.

i have a small magenet.on the inside of the filter end..to indikate if metal is a problem...i alvays have a small fine Black metal dust/ dirt,hanging  on the magenet..so there is alvays a small bit sirkulating..the best vay to hold the engine klean..is often thange the oil..and not use expensive oil..better thange often..and get the dirt aut..expensive oil is longlife..and that is the effekt you pay ekstra for...but it are krazy on a engine vho only run for few auers betveen oil thange..

Of all the early 750's I have done it is always fun to see if that washer is still in place. All were gone. However, the K1 I currently have on the lift had it in place. I almost fainted straight away.

Lol Johnie...being the irresponsible, disorganized, never planning a head type guy I am, I have often been negligent about replacing the missing washer on my project bikes.  When I finally got the washer in there, I lost it during the very first oil change.  So, I ordered up a large supply of them.  Now, if only I could remember where I put them.
If it works good, it looks good...

 Wear isn't usually my problem, it's the needle bearings that came out of defective rocker arms or a broken lifter and were digested by the billet oil pump. Seeing that in your filter will bring a tear to your wallet.

My filter was fitted with the spring on the wrong side when i opened it up..not that i knew at the time because this bike is new to me.
Only realised when i looked up on this site on how to refit...
