Here is my setup on my race bike.

The stacks are from Weber DCOE 40 side draft carbs, cut down and with 3 small set screws. Never had an issue with the screws coming loose. For extra protection, I have Ram Air filters that fit over the bells and I just keep them slid back. Bike made 80hp at the wheel on 760cc, has nice throttle modulation (lumpy cam in there though) and Im in the setup for under $150.

Silk,
Nice set up. Is this your round top carbs on F2 cylinder head set up?
Or, have I confused you with someone else..?
Have you deleted alternator and flywheel...? Idle speed..?

Motor is a 76' K, but the round tops are stock, so still have idle. The system seems to modulate nicely, and I think any low RPM fault is with the cam more than intake setup. My cam comes alive at 6K, going from pretty good to HOLD THE F*CK ON at 6001 RPM.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Looks like you are running this as 4 into 2 filters vs 4 into 1 like a breadbox design. Any thoughts as to the difference?

Not quite the same, I know, but this is the set-up the OldSkoolSuzuki guys swear by; stock rubber velocity stacks and RamAir filters. It's what I will be using on my GS550/GSX750 mash up.

I ended up using the TinTop velocity stacks with the Steel Dragon breadbox. The Steel Dragon stacks were fine but really hard to install. It all fits perfectly.
