repetitive harsh remarks only makes a young person feel bitter and resentful...and perhaps he just wanted to be a part of this forum....as many older and experienced men hang here....we all need guidance at times in a constructive form.
I'm likely younger than Mr. JP here, but you don't see me going around making stupid comments and trying to defend them (I just make stupid comments
) But in all reality, I've learned in my short experience here on Earth that there are many things that I do not know that older and wiser people know, mostly because they have had the opportunity to experience it. Of course you have to take the advise with a grain of salt in regards to who the source is, but in this case I would consider the people on this forum to be stand-up and trustworthy.
I also thought the post was a joke to begin with, until he started defending his position. And trying to defend yourself when 95% of the forum thinks you're wrong (while admirable in some situations) is asinine when arguing a topic where you make defending statements such as, "I can honestly say no one in the world could do what I tried, but at least I tried it!" That's not balls, that's pride. And pride generally doesn't fly,
especially in a male-dominated forum such as this.
And repetitive harsh remarks only makes a young person bitter if they're too immature to accept criticism. If he can't take the criticism (which I have been criticized many times on this forum, and I've learned from my
many mistakes because of it
) then honestly, he needs to grow up a little.
Of course that's just my 2 cents.
