A friend of mine had one and loved it Dave, I think it's Chinese, they've been buying up old European brands and selling the brand, but then again, China couldn't make anything as bad as some of the crap that came out of Europe when those brands still stood for something. I owned a bevel drive Ducati 900SS once, and I'll guarantee that sachs thing is better engineered....... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks Dave, I think it's on special here too, I'll check it out. How much CT 18 did you put in the water? One thing I've noticed with laundry detergent is (probably because of the caustic soda therein) that you need to rinse aluminium/pot metal parts really well, then hit them with lots of WD40. I think CT 18 might be kinder. ;D

Yeah, not sure if I want my car smelling of beer when I get pulled over by the cops Dave, but I did walk past a couple of cars in Darwin last year that smelled of beer, cigarettes, cheap wine, and sweat, and it wasn't pleasant......... ;D

I'm not really into little bikes Dave, but I bought this Honda CL90 from a guy who's owned it from the 60's, so I've joined the little bike club, I guess? What surprised me was that even though the CL90 only had a 2 year model run, I could buy a repro seat cover? (from Britain) I don't know how many were made, but I think it's the first one I've seen here in Oz, in recent years. ;D

Yep, the owner is in his 70's, he got cleaned up by a 'Roo on his Harley around 10 years ago and has an acquired brain injury, so can't ride a bike (or drive a car) anymore, so it hasn't been ridden since then, but said it was super reliable, and I remember my little Honda QA50 "Amigo" that I had when I was 10 or 11, it was the same, just one kick and away it'd go, I wish I still had it too! ;D

Yep, I think I was 10 and I used to have a paper round, which I did on my bicycle. One summer's evening, I'd finished my round, and was riding my pushy past a house where 3 or 4 Aboriginal kids were pushing each other around on the QA50, with the engine not running. I asked them why the engine didn't go, and they said, "Dunno, it never ran". I said, "I'll swap you my bike for it" and they said, "OK", and I pushed the little Honda back towards my place.

A couple of blocks further on, I looked down and noticed that the coil wire was hanging in the breeze. I connected it, gave it a kick, and away it went, so I rode it home. I copped hell from my dad for giving away my bicycle, but he was quietly impressed with the fact that I'd swapped it for a minibike, so it wasn't curtains for me, my older brother let me ride his bicycle to school and to do my paper round, and occasionally I did it on the QA50. I might have to get another paper round, so I can do it on the CL90........ ;D
