1974 honda cb750 four SS - $3,900 (kihei)

I just saw this in craigslist here on Maui. He's saying it's a 74 but it looks like a 75. $3900 seems high.
It is a 75 CB750SS F1.
I thought everything was expensive on the islands

Interesting that the phone number 'Randy' left at 344-0320 on the yellow island F is a phone number that would be a local number also here is Kalamazoo but with a different area code.  Very close to an old friend of mines number.

So true. Today I was offered a set of very nice “28” carbs, with a matching throttle cable. They’re “very clean” Price: $4000.......!

Yup..... getting dumber by the day. Expecting a set of pretty rough carbs via FEDEX today. Not the really early “28” carb, but the slightly later (and improved) ones. I’ll get started with those......

Scored a very early battery box on EBay today, so really just missing the tool tray and air box.
In the end, a set of Yamiya side covers and airbox might be the best solution..... I have one original side cover (LHS) missing the bottom tab.

Since this is such a small market there likely aren’t many folks that would move on an F1. I may go look at it and the other SOHC stuff he has. Dangerous stuff.

yes the tops are worth a fair buck by themselves, but you can run what you have till some thing comes up

No free lunch ... will cost thousands to restore

Frank..... checking on that. The one in my KO may just be a simple stamped and folded piece I think newer ones have a folded lip on one side to increase rigidity? Not a big issue, can always “make/modify” one!

Put the K0 one in yours, then a later one in K0, if need be.

I have an extra one for the Rickman and it matches the one on my K0. It moves to the S/C parts bin!

You're still smart enough to grab a sandcast when you stumble on it. LOL

Benelli; I have 2 sets of carbs that could make 1 good set. 28 caps as well. I have started to clean them but they still need a little more work. Let me know if your interested. I'm in Scarborough.
