My K2 has been sitting for about 5 months on the centerstand while I waited for Marcel to restore my gauges.  It has not been started during that 5 month period.  The gauges will hopefully be delivered soon so I checked the oil tank today getting prepared for a restart.  There is no oil in the tank so I’m assuming it has drained past the check valve and into the crankcase.  Normally the bike is ridden every two weeks or so and I don’t have this issue.

Should I just drain the crankcase and refill the oil tank?  Thought it would be a good idea to turn the kill switch off and crank the engine a bit to build oil pressure before actually starting it.

This happens, you cranking the engine should pump the oil back up to the tank without damaging the engine.
