I went shopping last year, inside the 836

  I met a guy at our car show where I took the 3 750's and he had some cb750 stuff to sell.
RC 4-1, 29 smoothbores, ARD mag, ATP turbo with 2 sets of pipes, nos k1 seat, RC point and dyno covers, K1 rhino horn and gauges, K1 dual drilled disc front end, Early right caliper bracket, Lester mags, 19" front and 18x3" rear, very wide aluminum, spoke rear rim with goodyear road race slick, drag bike w/ frame raked and lower tubes that look like an A so the head can come off, M bars, cb400f bars, a loose set of  Marzochi 37 mm triple trees, 2 836 engines kick start with light flywheels, one for carbs one for the turbo, Oil coolers, 3  long swingarms one store bought two lengthened, billet struts, wheelie bars, 3 steel gas tanks, a pair of fenders, a short rear fender with taillight, Sandcast shocks, aftermarket shocks, clutch cover and top cover drilled for oil return, oil lines for atp, boost gauge, oil press gauge, 76 frame with early forks, fiberglass front skinny fender, right rotor modified for speedometer drive and probably some things I forgot.  We cleaned his basement out then got his nephew's barn.

 He met a few of you guys in 2019? at Valdosta, he rides a Hayabusa. Won't make it this year, the bike went on it's back and needs a little work.  He said there were three or four 750 Honda guys present.

 I'm still deciding what to do with it. To me it's a once in a lifetime find. The PO wanted to put the turbo drag bike back together, it ran 10.70's and he rode it on the street. I love the look of it with the raked neck and fat slick. I need to ask for an old picture of it.
  I'm still sorting the totes full of parts. A lot of it is broken sidecovers and old used up things like that. There was even a dual row chain and both sprockets, the rear one is magnesium and is beginning to turn into white fuzz.
  The turbo is a Rajay 377 B25 and it has a Zenith/Bendix carb. I might check the Harley ads for a 38mm mikuni.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

 I've been online looking for installation info for the ATP, so far just a few pics that will be helpful. Steve said to use the spider exhaust header. I'm wondering about the odd looking boost control valve and oil feed plumbing.  I hope we can have some fun putting this jigsaw puzzle back together.

Ive got all the stuff for a turbo setup except the header. Would love to get my hands on that log header manifold.

 I have a beat up one that I'd let go, I can post pics. Some people should not be allowed tools.  I actually had planned to repair it and then pass it on. I know a talented stainless steel welder or two.

That square sided wastegate looks like the ones used on the ATP kits. I had one that came with that carb too. Nice score!

 It is the remainder of two complete ATP kits and a couple parts. The turbo motor had a stuck exhaust valve and while the PO kept the turbo safe and dry the ports were left exposed. The pistons are stuck and it's already an 836. I got 3 good RC 64mm flat top pistons and one with a burned edge. That's no help.
 There were grass clippings under the shifter cover. I have seen the same odd thing before which makes me really wonder WTF?
 The other bike I got had an 836 too, it ran the 29 smoothbores and it also sat with the carbs off. I'm sure it's junk too.

 This is beginning to grow on me. It's the other bike, I usually dislike brown seats but I think it's leather and goes with the paint color well. It even has a 22 bullet hole through the seat, through and through. I guess someone was shooting barn rats. It's got an early version of msd. The spark box is under the oil cooler. I think it says multifire 2 and a logo. When Chrysler made the 318 run clean with no emission controls this type of ign. hit the aftermarket.
  Sitting on this my wife can get toes down on both feet. I don't think she wants one but this might be my excuse for another bike. The hipo 836 is stuck but I have a couple stock motors that should be easy fixes.
 The under tank frame rails are cut but I have parts to fix it, a cycle X kit is the option we have now for bolt in tubes.

Sounds like a Gerex multifire. 8) It's a CDI ignition, rather than just electronic points like the Dyna's etc. Mine still works great after 42 years. ;D Do me a favor and measure the primary resistance of the ignition coils. Thanks...

I'll measure them, there are some on ebay that say 5 ohms, even a black set. The mount is interesting too.

 My wife prefers the 400F handlebars to the M bars, I think she could get interested. I found a thread on the ignition using Scottly's clues.  The battery froze up and will need to be forcibly removed but I'd love to energize it and see if it whines.

 I can see the logo is a G, it's mounted under the oil cooler behind the front tire, it may have once resided behind the left side cover because things in there are relocated leaving an empty space. I also found a mounting bracket that appears to fit the horn bracket, and maybe for this unit. 
 This bike has a cut down flywheel, I wonder how well it charged the battery. It is kick start only.  It's fun finding and ID'ing the speed parts that I've never owned or even seen.

I agree, I always thought bikes can tell you what they want to be and this is saying, leave me like this. It had the 29 smoothbores and RC header, and RC engine covers. Someone here once posted a pic of a seat like this with some black sheet metal frame covers under it. They really looked clean.

The Gerex box is supposed to be mounted out in the open; under the oil cooler and above the hot exhaust is probably not the best place, especially when stopped in traffic. ;) Mine is mounted on the right side, behind the shock.
