AFIK, Honda doesn't talk years. The reason I recommend
to begin with the appropiate parts list is, errors in ordering will practically be nihil. For instance, if you
know the PO of your bike has fitted Euro style handlebars, the parts list will inform you, there are cables in both sizes, for the US and the Euro style. If you have selected 'US model' at CMSNL you will not learn about this. In the part list that info is
on the same page, so a better overview of your options. Also, it won't harm to see what other markets had. This may show you alternatives. The first few pages give all the info about colours etc. Some parts lists also inform how much time in F.T.R., replacement of a certain part is supposed to take.
Some owners of a CB550F have ordered the wrong numbers of clutch plates. P. 17 of the CB550F2 parts list is crystal clear however and even gives the serial number from which the modification took place:
