The vapor blasting/honing you accomplished makes this rear cylinder shine better than PC or paint

Yes, I built my own setup a couple of years ago.
I believe there is a thread about the build here somewhere...

Every single steel fastener (except front and rear axles) for the complete engine and chassis has now been cleaned up and is ready to be sent out for zincplating

Reassembly has begun and the frozen crank and its bearing slipped into the heated block just by the help of gravity with a nice click.
Now waiting for the replated bolts and steel parts to arrive.

Couldn´t just sit around waiting for the replated steel parts to arrive so I decided to give the alternator cover some needed attention this past weekend.
Got rid of some protrusions that wasn´t needed anymore in the mill, and gave the cover a workover in the cabinet.
The replated parts are destined to arrive tomorrow, but we´ll see...

Your work on the machines has given the cast surface a much smoother finish;I hope the cover will also be smooth where it tightens down on it.

Curious, they charge you by the pound or item, looks like they did a great job platimg that stuff. Is it getting really expensive to do like every thing else these days? How much did the rocker shafts grow by plating?
