Seat paint removal

I have managed to get the seat that came with my k5 in fairly nice condition. The only thing driving me nuts is the Honda painted on the back. It’s so crooked it had to have been painted late at night by someone very inebriated, lol. Nope, wasn’t me. I want to remove the paint and redo the emblem. Problem is, I don’t know what kind of paint was used and I don’t want to screw up the seat getting it off. Anyone have any suggestions other than a new seat? Thanks again in advance!!

You may want to start with something alcohol based.  Sounds like that is what got this all started :)
Isopropyl,
Or something with alcohol in it.  Hand sanitizer will be more gel-like so stay where you put it.
Try a small area.

I'd mask off the area and only do the paint with an acid brush or q-tips
Lay it with HONDA flat so you are not fighting gravity.

There are other paint removers for fabric at your local fabric store too. 
Then a host of ??? ones from Orange strip to Toluene etc, but more risky to do damage to the fabric without testing what you have.

doubtful the seat was painted by Honda, I've never seen a crooked one, the seat may be a reproduction

Oh, it’s definitely a repro. But, if I can fix the logo, it will be a nice looking repro!!

Paint I used for Honda stencil was silver vinyl paint. Rattle can from Rustoleum.
A few dusty layers.

"Goof Off" removes paint without damaging the surface. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

maybe combine that with a majic eraser....anything too  abrasive ...or too aggressive...and it destroys the vinyl....
cotton swabs ?

Make a custom patch and glue it on with shoe glue like they use at shoe repair shops. You could even have one embroidered in a fancy script.

Paint that part of seat black with vinyl paint.
Honda stencil when dried and paint HONDA.

Works perfectly well on Vinyl. I don't get my stencils spot on 100% of the time, so nail polish remover is part of my 'kit'

Nope, it's an acetone based remover. I've only ever used it on vinyls though, but that's what all our seat covers are made of anyway. The painted HONDA wipes off instantly, then I just wipe the area with a soapy cloth.
