Soon hitting a road near or not near you...maybe
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:35:02 PM »
Ok So here is my FINAL draft. As worst documenter of progress, I have a new seat and tank from benjie. What you see here is the photo I got from him as completed and am getting painted this weekend so I just thought I would share a little. No, I am not brand new but I had to get a new account as I misplaced my old one. Any thoughts?????

Looks good apart from the thicker white stripe part on the bottom edge of the tank -would be good to see a thinner version here. But love the colour scheme - very original. Update with real thing when finished!

cheers
Andy

I do like the thin stripe on the seat, you should have that follow onto the tank. I with Andy750 that the thicker stripe just doesn't work. And I DO NOT dig the 750 on the sidecovers. I think leaving them plain black would be good.

I'm with the others about the thickness of the tank stripe. However, I would keep the '750' on the side panel....saves so much time when you don't have to answer the "how big is it?" questions!!

looks great!
i would like to see one of two things happen... join the seat white lines w/ the tank lines that are already coming down to meet it
OR
stop the upper tank lines further up on the tank and slim down the bottom tank lines and join them w/ the seat lines.
right now, it just looks a little disjointed from front to back but, it is a great working concept.

oh but wait... you said FINAL draft.
it looks great and i wouldn't change a thing  :D ;)

First off, Thanks for all the feedback. I like the thick stripe comments the best. Point taken. Most likely it will narrow down to keep with the seat line. Side covers--who knows. That is going to be vinyl anyhow to make sure the lines ae straight with the body so I can see how I like them in plain black. Thanks PT...make me self consious, but good disclaimer. I will get pics as soon as I can since my friend painting for me put my on the fast track. Now I have to get the rest done. Thanks again all. Will keep you posted.
