Thats a good price. I bought one of the last sets from Honda in 07. I think it was near 750$ with everything. Then on this site people said they werent available. I thought well Ill go another set and sell them. It was only a month later and the parts manager was just as shocked they were gone.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

They look great. Worth every $
Do they have that whole load of text stamped on the back of the mufflers like the later 374 pipes? The original 500 323 pipes did not have it and were better without it.

Looking at those pipes I wonder why they don’t do a replica set for 1969-76 cb750? I wonder how many orders they would need to get started? I’d buy one on spec!

Maybe 'cause Busso was doing them?  But with that fiasco about to end, they will now consider it?

Good choice going with that pipe, bike looks great!

I'm nominating for BOTM....

Sounds good and paint looks awesome!   How do you like riding it compared to your 750?

Thanks...
Well, I love the weight/power of the 750 when cruising; love the toss-ability of the 550, although it cruises pretty well.  The 550 is much easier to handle in tight situations like parking lots, slow turns.
The 750 rides better I guess because of the weight.

Yes, agree with you on all that.

My first SOHC was the 550F, liked it but on the highway just thought it was not heavy enough, didnt like the "air wake" I felt when a big truck was passing in the opposite direction. Sold it and bought a 750.  Then missed the 550, and bought another!!  Bottom line, I need to have both [along with the 450]

I'd be interested to see how the exhaust header clamps and collets last, the original Honda clamps rusted in the gap between the fins, the collets just rusted for fun. However the original clamps were extremely poorly cast, using sand by the look of them, that caused a really rough finish and the chrome just didn't stick to it, the Delkevic clamps I've seen looked far better cast but they ain't smooth either, which is why I wonder if they do the same rusting as the Honda ones.

Having the balance pipe clamps in silver just looks odd, so used to seeing black clamps.

Considering DS and CMS prices for their sets and those don't include all the hardware, it makes me wonder, are DS and CMS making a huge profit or are Delkevic making a profit but not as much? or possibly doing a loss leader with prices rising shortly. The first sets offered were a LOT cheaper than they are now for instance.

The pipes... what else? Some are more interested in having exhausts close to the originals with dampers in place and less interested in shiny things.
