Only way to be sure is look up part number at cmsnl then create a free account and it will tell you what bikes fit but from memory only 550F
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

I'm pretty sure the side covers on the 550F are the same from 75-77 and are unique to the 550F.
There are lots of reproductions available if you can't find an original.
4into1 offers a set.

According to Frankenstuff the 550F (Supersport) and the  77/78 550K models share the same sidecovers.

550F Supersport? Or are you using 550F as a short for 550Four that is a 550K?(not a good thing with Honda in searching for specific parts that have model changes...I was a parts manager) and in this case, specific years changes the application. When you ask for parts include your full year and exact model so there isn't wrong part numbers or links given you and you blame the wrong person(remember, when you point your finger, there are 3 fingers pointing back to you...😐)

The 77/78 K does not share the same sidecovers with the F, but the 77/78 K covers will fit the F.

To the OP:
knowing exactly what model you have is critical, as stated.
I have  no idea if the 77/78 "K" model side covers will "fit" an "F" model but regardless they are not the same shape. In my opinion, if an external part isn't the same shape, I probably don't want to spend the money for a part that doesn't look right. The pic shows '78 "K" model. see the curved front? So in my opinion, frankenstuff is wrong.
CMS is a good source for interchangeability. However, in this case, since the OEM part came as a specific color, this function doesn't work quite well. For example, a '76 "F" model side cover I know for a fact fits on a '75 "F" model. But CMS only shows it "fits" on '76 models, any country, only...because that color was only for '76 "F's".
point is, do  your due diligence when trying to source correct parts....beware the internet.

I just saw your other post about the bike you purchased. From the picture, it appears you have a "K" model.

I have a set of '77 550K covers - they most definitely do fit on my '75 550F - the side cover mounting tabs are the same on all 550F and 77/78 550K frames. John

using your picks and these from CMS (1978 K)...the mounting post distance and angles do not match up!

I have always wanted a 550 supersport and am jealous of your completely original F since I first saw it (and saved the pictures of it! -It is a valuable piece of treasure).  Your bike is my inspiration for putting together my F out of ebay parts from all over the world that have never before been on the same bike! I hope I end up getting it very close to looking like yours! John

eating humble pie...with foot in mouth..

If you need close ups for research, or questions about what is authentic for a '75 "F", please ask.
