Tonight’s update -
Beringer Dual Piston calipers with Mark Zero Rotors from the early 70’s installed, Genuine RSC Team honda spare oil tank with RSC CR750 kit oil cooler and lines installed. Have the moto GP on for now until I get my RSC genuine CR750 works 4-4 pipes back from repair.

I do like the RSC cooler and lines with the big oil tank. Much better than the aftermarket coolers that went down the front to the filter.
Coming along nicely.

Beringer brakes will stop quickly. I have looked at their website. But no caliper mounts for K6 fork.

Top notch brakes what I have understood.

Is that caliper spacing the same as the 77/78 F2 which is also the same for the 79/80 CBX and DOHC? I think 45 degree banjos on the calipers would be better. ;)

Riding home on bicycle several decades back I turned a rear wheel into a potato chip looking item after hitting big stones in bike lane curbing area in a pull out from a restaurant. It was at night and street lights were not illuminating that area. Rock caused broken spoke and that caused blowout and more spokes to break. I was lucky enough to have good balance and didn’t go down. Had to walk bike to corner about 3/8 mile away to catch last north bound bus a couple miles north before getting off and walking bike home about a mile and half West to my apartment.  I replaced it with heavy duty Sun rim and had local bike shop rebuild wheel with heavier spokes. I too like Sun Rims…

K swing arm d
K swing arm bolted up. Nice looking wheel for short.
Needs Titanium Axles now.

Motor is about done and on its way back from Ken.
I let Ken assemble this round, I’m a great wheel lacer and Machinest, but f*ck XA ring packs on your 2nd go ever. 72mm bore with 1.5 thou cylinder to wall clearance. 11.5-1 compression, should be a fun toy.

The bike looks good! ;D

The thin oil rings could hook into the expander and do not compress completely. That's how I pinched one.

Next try,  all oil rings got the inner end corners filed to a smooth rounded corner.
I did that later with the 970cc kit too, despite the thicker XC rings.

The new Wiseco rings had harsh burrs on he ends. Important to smooth them off with 240 or 400 grit paper before testing in bores.

Yeah....I have a big pile to tend to when it gets warmer.....cutting to length and splitting. It's all worth it when it is 5F outside with a 20 to 25 mph wind and the living area with the wood stove is 75F.  ;)
72mm with 11:5 CR will be a blast....literally. Great torque.
Per is absolutely correct about paying attention to the ring ends especially the oil rails and expander ring.

Cycle X built the beast after I discovered how much I hate XA ring packs on 72mm pistons through trial and ultimately error and a few scratches, One more step to completion.

Huge shout out to Ken for his massive amount of effort in the situation. Millennium didn’t do a good enough job on the replating process the 1st go around, but they came through with good results the 2nd try.

Ken taught me this.
test a mechanics/machinest ability and challenge them to do the job to perfection and be a absolute pain in the ass in the process and hold them accountable to that standard, and you will wind up with stellar results in the end.

This has been a cool experience and challenge thus far. To be continued….
