I found another motorcycle oil and it is time for a change.

Having trouble finding Spectro HD?
No problem to find Spectro. I have a little more than 2 gallons in my garage. ;D

They have increased the price  since 2021.  +65% today
I guess they have found the oil to be good and raise the price more than needed, like +20-30%

Found an alternative when ordering oil to my car.

V-twin 20W-50 oil.
https://www.mannol.de/products/motor-oils-for-motorbikes-and-outboard-engines/motorcycle-oils/mannol-v-twin-4-takt-20w-50

I'll see how it will act on its own. If it need 1L of Spectro as an additive ;D

Last change bike got Eurol V-Twin 20W-50 Mineral 2L + 1L Spectro.

My K6 got Eurol V-Twin 20W-50 Synth last time. I have earlier added 1 quart Red Line as an additive.
I bought some Red Line when I got 25% off a few years ago.

This is the beginning of my cross country round trip to see the kids and the grands in Vegas and Florida, and try to be back to NH hopefully before the snow flies.

Here's wishing you good weather and safe travels Stu.  Sounds like a wonderful adventure!

#74, October 11th 2025, 85 miles.

#75, October 12th 2025, 117 miles

I see a lot like this riding. I know a little about farming and dairy operations so know that this farm was a small dairy operation based on the concrete block part of the building that may have been a milking parlor ? This homestead perhaps was the life work of several generations, my great uncle had a similar farm in Newark Ohio when I was a small child. Things changed and that type of farm maybe could not even break even $$ wise even if in operation and fully paid off.

It is hard for small farms like that today. In NH there is one left in my home town and one in the next town where I live. They have a hard time getting help so one of them invested in 2 automated computer run milking machines, big big $$$$$$, that feed the a portion of 'superfood' depending upon what they weigh and their milk weight output is daily.  Some were hesitant to go in the stall at first but they came around when they got real uncomfortable for being laden with milk.

#26 today, 400 miles, in the rain 80% and heavy mist the other 18% until I pulled off to investigate where the rain was as it had stopped, thankfully I was out on the western edge of the rain finally that was reaching in with the pinwheel of the east coast Noreaster, I'm near State College Pennsylvania. Started on the road at 10am, 52°F most of the day.
I Found another KOA and set up my camper this time for the night(this one one has the deluxe cabins at $110/night!
I have the heater running to dry out my clothes and the top of the windows open to cool me down.
Sorry no pictures as I finished setting up at dark and I'm beat. Had a couple of stop and go snarls, construction and the other was a tractor trailer that the cab was jackknifed in the medium and the trailer out blocking both lanes(that was an hour and a half of inching along.

There are some larger dairies here, large for here anyway where I am told the cows are just let out into a hallway and they on their own go to where they are milked, then back to where they hang out when not being milked.

That is the way they make a living these days. Fully automated. I stopped by my son's in Wisconsin in 2011 and we toured his father in law's work at a big dairy farm, multiple thousands of head, they had a huge lazy Susan milking parlor, held 100 head. And yes they learn to head to the parlor to get milked on their own. Back then th farm had workers to wash the teets,  put the suction cups on, someone else to remove them and wash and put a cream on after. Now the computer does it all. It finds the teeth by inferred eye cameras. Pretty amazing.

#76, October 14th 2025, 52 miles, Got the 1972 CB750K2 out today, went nowhere in particular, grabbed a half gallon of milk at Mao mart and then went on a cruise.
My dad bought this bike new in 1972, I was 8 years old then. I did a frame up on it in 1993 or so, it had 39k then. Has 59,3xx miles on it today.

Yea I remember my dad and a friend installing that under a huge box elder tree in our side yard. Same tree was used when valve lash was checked and adjusted and a lot of other maintenance tasks. We did not have an indoors place to work on vehicles until the early 1980's.

#28 today, 51° to start at 10am in Bellefonte PA, to Morgantown W VA. A short days ride at 225 miles today.
Stopped in town for breakfast, when my food came, no pictures as I was talking with 3 guys in the booth next to me as 2 of them had gone out to their truck to get something and noticed my camper behind the wing and wanted to know all about it so I had to eat and talk to them while it was still warm, just eggs, bacon, English muffins and a cup of fruit. Anyhow they have been friends since kindergarten in Massachusetts and were out in PA to ride their bicycles in the hills.
I headed down through the Allegheny Mountains(a cool 52-55° cloudy day, on 220/99 and continued down through the old farmlands along 220 south of I-70 to I-68 to head towards Wheeling W Va, got to Morgantown about 4:30 and stopped early at Texas Roadhouse to splurge for a prime rib dinner. Not too shabby.
Then went to the KOA a few miles away to set up while it was still light out(and before the deer started stirring!)
It's a new KOA in the past year so the trees are tiny still.

Today's ride #29, 56° F to start, high of 67°F, Morgantown W VA to New Lisbon Indiana just off I-70, 350 miles.
Man is I-70 in bad condition. Very hard on my shoulders bouncing the bike and trailer around. Lots of construction areas. I don't think they have done anything to the road in many years.

Stu….. Great reports! Be careful out there. The member who made our Tee shirts for the Ganaraska 250 pulled onto a major highway for a shorter trip on Sunday. The car he was alongside inexplicably decided to change lanes…..He survived but the broken ribs and a few other bits will take a while to heal……. Safe travels! J.

oh no! Both of my cars have blind spot detectors. They have kept me out of trouble from time to time. I look for the other cars orange lamp when they are along side.
Derek was wearing his new tee yesterday, very nice.

Had the Varadero out today for a few morning errands (too short to count). Sunny morning. But the temps are definitely going down. Even with the liner back in my thickest jacket and pants over jeans, it’s cool. Not to many rides left…..

The trailer has been a wiggle worm, especially above 75 mph, so I have sore shoulders and stiff back(from the lousy roads).
I think I have 25lbs in the tires but I need to check them in the morning to be sure. My gas mileage is down to @35mpg.

Today started off in western Indiana at 57°F, 10am eastern, 450 miles for #30, stopped for gas and dinner at a local mom and pop restaurant,  had their 2 pork chops, mashed potatoes and fresh corn and a garden salad special, total of $14, so I left a $6 tip, left as the sun was already going down at 7pm central.
I stayed on I-70 west until Indy, the northwest on I-74 hoping to get hold of Aspen campers to get a few things but he didn't reply back to me until noon time that he was not home as he took a full time job to pay the bills, so I headed southwest to pick up I-72west, which is a much better road surface than 70 and also 80 are!!! Less traffic too.
Illinois has some huge farmlands, corn that is. I wonder if they grow the corn chips there??
It got up to 83°F today so I had to peel off layers. It was 75° while I set up my camper tonight so I rewarded myself with a brisk shower after to cool down, the windows are open and a nice balmy breeze is rustling the oak leaves in the trees. I'm in the campground at Mark Twain Lake, built by the  US Army Corps of Engineers. I got here after dark so no idea what it's like other than I crossed a couple bridges/causeway on the way here. Only a few campers here sparsely spaced apart.
Apparently it's a big pond

Stu…. Try putting some air in the trailer tires. You might just be flopping around on the sidewalls? What does the loaded trailer weigh? Try them a few pound under the MAX pressure. You can always let it out anywhere/anytime. It will also reduce the drag if you put them up……

I’m looking at my 10 day forecast in SE MI and don’t see much CB weather. Today was the day, I saw a lot of bikes out. I even had an invitation from my pal Jim;(who is fully faired and heated), but I also had a prior commitment that was chiseled in stone.
I will be ready for a bonus ride some afternoon when the weatherman has missed his mark and it’s sunny and warm.

John, Did Fred spend the night in Hospital? Or get a ride home?

We were so fortunate to have a favorable and accurate 10 day forecast line up with the G250.

Stu, I would have thought more PSI in the Wing tires, but I’m nobody to say what’s right for a GoldWing.
