The documentary has some nice looks back at early RC days. Russ's shop next door to Dale Armstrong (!)... I especially liked his imagined Sorcerer engine layout sketched on a napkin at breakfast. WOW.
12+ years in the making... SO many involved at so many levels. From the amazing Master craftsmen amongst us, to those of us enthusiasts buying RC tee shirts to help support the funding, we can all feel proud to have played a little part in this historic restoration.
You can certainly hear the awe in Russ's voice at reaching this point. And the reverence in Robert Prayther's descriptions of following up some seriously challenging one-off engineering of 40 years ago.

What a great video!

During the 70's and 80's I was a Kawasaki owner and knew of RC Engineering, but did not know the whole story; being somewhat sheltered on the east coast of the US.

I had a few friends with Hondas that ran his high performance products and I was impressed with what the guys were doing.

Dale Armstrong was known to just walk by a car and make a suggestion, try this or that and the car got faster. Having breakfast with a group of mechanical geniuses like those guys would be a dream.

Great tasteful video..😇

It’s good to hear and a good humble appreciative account of the journey.

Very well done. A stark contrast to the arrogant braggarts we tolerate today on most videos of any accomplishments..

Wondering whether JR works for APE..

He told me once a few years ago what his is doing but I don't think it was working with APE.

Russ's facebook says started new job 2008 at Hughes circuits, aerospace related. I thought he mentioned working with his brother at one time.

I know multiple folks that frequent this site helped with both parts, labor and information. It should give a sense of personal pride to know they helped preserve this bit of history.
At any rate I'm proud of them.

The early tee shirts got some recognition too. I took this at the V&H Pro Stock bike pit during the NHRA Sonoma event about a dozen years ago. When he saw this, Drew practically grabbed it out of my hands and excitedly exclaimed "My dad built this!" Both the boys were very aware of their dad's early years accomplishments.
