Helmet radio, preference?
« on: July 02, 2005, 03:45:34 PM »
How do to all

Looking to get a radio for SWMBO and my helmets.  Right now I'm leaning toward the Motorola T5500R and adding a boom mic a speakers in the helmets. Any advice, comments, reviews, ect.

Thanks

James

Don't know what the initials mean. If this is to communicate with a passenger, I recommend getting one of those new DVD players that attach to the back of your helmet so your passenger can watch movies.
If it's for you to listen to the radio or tapes while riding- don't. You- will- go- deaf. I don't care what the salesman says.

She Who Must Be Obeyed, The beter halve, The one and only (Not the bike).  Looking to setup an intercom to be able to talk, she can't see over my helmet.  I want something that isn't tied to the bike, don't want anything to snag getting on and off.

Have her tap your left shoulder for "I gotta pee" and your right shoulder for "Go faster". No need to spend money on fancy radios.  :)

Just kidding, hope someone gives you a better answer!

Some body part getting pinched REALLY hard means slow down. :o
I'd check in on Gold Wing and Beemer sites, those people demand all the technology they can find.

Try changing to a solo cafe seat, and simply explain that you are making the bike period correct, if it were a BSA. :D
