My wife is native San Franciscan (Lived about 20 blocks from the Haight, and went to all the concerts in the park in the late 60's early 70's Hippies were unavoidable and she shared a J with Janis Joplin there. I was a struggling Musician in the early 70's and learned many chops from the "Hippie music" being played. I was also in California with the Navy in this period and heard EVERYTHING the drug addled youth felt was "groovy".
My record and tape collection was ripped off from that collection period (Including Ogden's Nut Gone Flake!). Still I replaced a lot.
Wife says Chambers Brothers (Time Has Come today) , Country Joe McDonald (Feelin Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag)
