And some of you may find this interesting. On my way down to pick my Dad up this morning, I prayed about the situation and all. I went on to say that I'd given my brother every chance to help set things right between us and now, it was HIS turn. Next thing I knew, it was like I was hearing "What if I gave up on you!" Now, I feel like I've had answered prayer before but, this was so direct and straight forward. So, I will continue to pray about it and when it seems right, I'll see what happens. I wasn't really wanting to give him another chance. I've tried to get him to come around and he never seemed interested. And I was really getting tired of trying and getting no response. I know that, as a Christian, I'm not supposed to give up on someone though. Those who will, pray for me on this, I'll need it!

You got it and when he answers we need to listen!!!!!!!
if you want to or not!!!!!!!!! congrats on a good day with your dad
and merry Christmas. just a suggestion have a new year cookout for the family (incl) your brother and his family just for fun no family
talk no talk of problems just a fun get together tell him that those are the rules and both of you need to keep the rules!!!
Droopy, that's the way it is supposed to go.
To often, we ask God for guidance and don't get the answer we want to hear. Then there are the things we try to work out ourselves, when if we'll just turn it over to HIM, he will handle it or show US the way.
My Dad wants to change certain things back to to the way they were up until the 1st part of this year (instead of my brother getting most everything. In case you don't know, my brother somehow convince my Dad that I was taking money from him and I was cut out of most everything without even knowing it. I managed to find out about it and have pretty much turned things around, with God's guidance.) How ever things turn out, will depend on how my brother and his wife take it and whether they just accept it or not. My brother's not a gracious loser and if he considers it a loss, it could get quite ugly. I can accept and agree that there are things that my brother should get. My brother however, feels that he should get most (if not) everything. I continue to pray for him and his wife also.
For now, the main thing (to me) is that my Dad is having SOME times that he can fully relax and enjoy!
I know that he is lonesome though. It really gets me when I leave cause he stands there at the door, watching as I get in my van and prepare to leave on then slowly closes the door.
If there was anyway, I'd make room and have him up to our house for a few days now and then. But, our house is so small. I AM considering going down for a few days (at least) once in a while. But first, I'll have to design and build some sort of lift (for the van & I have an electric winch already) to get James' (the "Special Needs" young man we work with) wheelchair in and out of the van because my wife can't lift it.
