I used 5mm stainless bolts when I did mine, smaller holes ;D
Not sure if I noticed any difference in handling (maybe?)
Brakes seemed better but it may have been wishful thinking.

Don't get me wrong - I will never give up my 500/4, but neither would I submit it (her?) to a daily motorway grind in the pissing rain...

Geez, I guess I'm much more mercenary than you guys, I bought the BMW because I wanted a comfier long distance tourer, not because I give a fat rats ass about my old bangers in the garage being subjected to less than perfect weather conditions, ha ha!

Remember men, they're only machines and there's enough parts in the world to keep them going until we're all too old to ride them, so lets not start feeling guilty for using them for what old Sochiro designed them for! Meanwhile, I'll be riding my "Bavarian Murder Weapon" on anything longer than a 100 mile blast, purely because I'm a big woose! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

That's it Ben, and hell, it's only an F1, so it's not like it's ever gonna be collectable or anything........... :-)
