Hey Spikey, I'm about  to go an look....just wanted to try something quick and easy - this thing hasn't run in years & I need to hear it.  patience ins't MY virtue

Here's some pics of the carbs....thanks guys - lemme know what you think, don't see any obvious stamping to indicat what they are.  I'm probably not looking hard enough.

exact same thing happened on one of mine.  noticed a jet sitting in the bowl.  looked at the hole it usually threads into and found it wasn't there.  also sitting in the bowl.  i ended up JB Welding the threaded part back to the carb body.  let it try for a couple hours and then put the jet back in.  filled up with fuel and went for a ride.  haven't thought about it since, so i guess its holding up well.

Wow, @greenjeans, that's not just a good deal - its a fricking steal!

I like your bike's colour, green.  And, if its original, so much the better.  Painting the tank was the biggest headache of the entire project.

I wouldn't try Teflon.  Its notorious for shredding.  Once the shreds are lodged in those tiny inner passages, then you'll have some real heartache.
