How did it win "best rocker" in Chicago??  That is a bobber, not a cafe.......me thinks alot of the young guys are getting confused. :(

Whatever you think of it, it is NOT a cafe racer.

a shame ya had to hack into such a nice stocker though. wouldn't think finding a suitable beater would be such a chore since you're throwing away everything oem anyway.

yeah i read that and it felt like he was bragging about tearing apart such a nice bike. I had a hard time cutting on my 550 and it was a pile of crap when i got it. But i guess when you have the money to just pay benjie to build you a 1 off tank and probably pay someone to build it for you then who cares about some 40 bike. It looks like he did it a favor. anyway might be a repost but i hate to rant with out add to the inspiration.

Well done, some nice details there.  Although I have to wonder what people are thinking when they add brackets like that to the rear of the tank.  Aesthetically they look cool, but functionally, I like to keep my nuts intact.

Apparently the search wasn't very exhaustive...

I have two baskets with titles I would have sold for chump change.   I'm all for building Custom ass Jewelery, but not at the expense of a truly diminishing classic; afterall, we aren't really owners of these old bikes as much as merely custodians of history.
A damn shame, indeed!
