ok, i was going to post this in 'other bikes' because, well... it is! the cool thing is it's honda (cx) powered and many parts are sourced from honda. but beyond that i admire this guy's ingenuity!

It has been up here before. And it is a cool looking bike. I had a chance to check it out at Beatersville. The tin work is great and overall the bike is real clean and well done. But it shouldn't be a problem to keep clean since you can't ride it. The front tire is wedged in between the fork lowers. There was also a model a that I'm sure won some awards also. Unfortunately it was missing the drive shaft and plug wires plus who knows what else. The show was actually based around more of a "builder and their ride" type scene. And I was under the assumption that everyone was to drive their stuff in. Nontheless it was the best, hottest, and most fun show I've been to.

It seems to me, that someone who would molest a "pristine '71 CB450, garage kept, third owner, 3000 mile, nearly 40 year old motorcycle" has no respect for these bikes at all.

Agreed. Mine was a bitsa basket case, so not much loss there - but that was a super clean bike.  Ugh.
Take care,

didn't the RD350LC run a small fairing like that with the small lip at the bottom?

Suzuki had a similar fairing with a lip, when they first dipped their toe in the cafe pond...

Had either 2 air intake holes ir signal lite holes..

don't think it is a Suzuki, their 'lip' was split in the middle over the tire.  could also be a Kaw GPZ (early 80's).  the 550(?) had something like that.

Except for the lip on the bottom, it looks a bit like an Omar 7" quarter fairing. http://omarsdtr.com/fairnew3.html

Yep, that's Isaac's "gold head" RD. Done at Twinline in Seattle where I'm working on my CB750.  Neat bike - if ya like two-smokes.

that vincent is nice!

i saw that hd concept elsewhere but as cool as it is, and a better use for the v rod mill, harley will never pull the trigger.

just ask buell about hd's commitment to sport bikes.  ;D

It's a mugen concept bike that Honda didn't build. Check out kneeslider for the article on it.
