I attended his Tig welding seminar at Barber Festival last weekend. After the bike show, he came over and was checking out my bike, I was star struck. We had a great converstaion. He shared pictures and details with me of projects he's working on. I found him to be a really cool guy. That meeting and the Barber show has inspired me.

He seems nice enough when I have seen him on the boob tube. I also imagine it took some good sense to leave that lousy car show he used to be on where all they did was peddle worthless crap.

what happened to all the inspiration...

Found this 74 GT750 in a friend of mine's dad's garage.   "Garage find"   My buddy Bryan Fuller pried it out of his hands with some cash and did
a tasteful resto-mod to it.    It sounds absolutely wicked.

I heard him start that thing up at barber.  sounds amazing. one of the best i've ever heard.  i was across the room when i heard it w my back to it and ducati was the last thing i would have thought it would be.

Twinline Motorcycles: The Thorn 1977 Honda CB 550 Kawasaki Ninja Cafe Racer

It's a fun bike to ride.  About 300lbs soaking wet with 77hp at the rear wheel.  Admittedly, it needs a lot more front brake than it currently has.
Take care,
David

Apparently, that's what the Boz (Bostrom) Brothers said, too -- and that it kicked ass.

I have seen that bike run on the Dyno and it's louder than any Harley for sure. Such a cool bike. I know David has helped with tuning it. It's loud as hell.

Some sort of intermediate race tyre? You can see 'racing' on the front one
