Saw this at SEMA last week; unfinished, but I found it to be pretty inspirational:

they have good taste! who is the builder?

Yep that's my buddy Bryan Fuller out of Atlanta.  Got hooked on those when he saw my 550 a while back.

He's deeming it the world's most expensive CB  ;)   You can't tell from the photo, but it is a mono shock and if you look closely
the forks are engraved and the finned exhaust collars are scratch-built from stainless steel.   Truly ridiculous in the best way.
Frame is all hand built as is the tank and tail section.   The black dot you see on the tank will be for a sight glass off a WWII airplane.
CNC for the hubs.   Exhaust isn't final yet.

grips will be leather wrapped - by an authentic swordmaker in Japan.

He's a child of the junkyard and swapmeet.   He's got all kinds of headlight and tail lamps etc collected over the years.

It will be something to behold when finished.

Wow, he needs to come to my place and do my 550.. ;-) Any chance you can get a better pic of this ride?
Its my Avatar..

That's pretty amazing. Says "a 2.8liter 32 valve V8 which weighs less than most 4 cylinder engines and is about the same size." The power to weight ratio on whatever you put that in would just be ridiculous.

That Harley looks like it's used Meccano for inspiration, but I like the idea.
I saw this in the latest MCN this week and checked it out on the net. It's listed under Modern Classics on the forum.
It's the 2001 Aprilia Blue Marlin, looks like an idea for modern running gear with CB motor, really like the swing arm, tank and cans.

Yeah, then you start bolting on turbos... Busa's with a turbo on em can reach 400 hp I think... So THIS could make like... 800 hp!(in theory of course...)
And yes I am that big of a dork I did the math.

I'm new here, been lurking for a while. I've really enjoyed this thread, thought I'd throw on a few that I took at the Barber Vintage Fest last month.

Yea, the square 4 is a beauty. They don't get much cleaner.

This thing was on CL here localy, I should have went and looked at at least but I did save the pics.

Not sure what it might inspire some one to do. The guy said the engine was built, looks like webers. Also looks scary.

Well it looks sharp, however in the video it looks awkward to ride, and did not sound very good, but then with the music playing its hard to tell.

Now this is interesting, as I saw something that inspired me to think about a 750 powered scooter. In my version you would be on top of the motor, like a scooter.   My big concern is the length it would be.

i agree on both counts. the music is a distraction (i commented on his 'channel') and wonder if people have delusions of mtv when they do these things. also, that style over substance is why i'd like to see this motor/trans in something slightly more realistic. cool to look at and nice craftsmanship though.

Ever noticed how in the main chase sequence in 'Bullitt' that there's no music? Steve thought that the sound of the engines was music enough.

one of the best car chase scenes ever. Have you ever noticed they pass the same green VW 3-4 times during that scene?
