How do you get a tank and seat so smooth to be able to nickel plate it? Do they use lead instead of bondo? Were they hand made or punched out on a die?

It's only the frame etc that's nickel plated, the tank & seat are polished aluminium. The tanks were hand made, not sure about that seat (most probably handmade though) as I've never seen one of those before. It is a very early bike, actually the 2nd Seeley Honda ever made.

With 3 days left, it's up to $2850.

I was telling my wife about it:
"So there's this frame on ebay for the Honda I'm working on..."
"No."
"But its...''
"No."
 ;D ;D ;D

I don't think it'll get up to 6. Definitely into the 4's, though.

If i had the cash i would pay 6g for it, time will tell. I never thought a KO would ever sell for 15g and i saw that.

This is back up with same picks and new seller/local.  Either the winning buyer doesn't want it or it might be a scam.

Given the zero feedback, and the request to be emailed before bidding, I'd say it's a scam

The new buyer put up a post in dotheton or caferacer that he was building it up...? Maybe things changed, but that ebay add looks very shady.

Over at www.dotheton.com Steverino has started a thread about this Seeley Honda project.   He was the winner of the original auction mentioned here.

I posted in his thread http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=3680.0 asking if he was abandoning the project.

We'll see what's up...
