I bought this K '76 a few years ago. It's got a '76 engine with 4 into 1 Kerker's. The engine's got 35K on it, and it runs pretty well.
It's currently in a few hundred pieces because I've totally stripped it down and am in the process of rebuilding it. This week I hope to buy most of the parts I'm replacing (handlebars, bolts, straps, misc levers/handles, air filters, pipes, etc.). And I will hopefully be taking some 22 parts and counting down to the local paint shop to get it powdercoated. Once all my new parts are in and the other parts are painted, I'll hopefully be done replacing various parts, seals, and gaskets in the engine. God willing, the bike will be back together June 1!
I bought this bike because I've always wanted to learn how to work on, rebuild, and modify a motorcycle. I'm a total newbie. I'm enjoying every moment of this rebuild--or at least the moments when I'm not stressing out, throwing things, or banging my head against the wall.
