Two excellent bikes. But being from the 'old country' my vote this month has to be with the Rickman. The plastic is timeless.

One of these day there is going to be a BOTM thread where I look at the contestants, say, "That's the one I like," I'll vote for it and it will be over. I'm getting sick of these, "Man I like them all," type of months.

My voe is cast. What a tough choice...

Obviously, i will vote for the bike that me and my crew had a little contribution. If this bike wins, we would have our parts on a wining bike for the same month, but different year. That would be soooo kool! Good Luck Steve D and ajinreno.

voted for the more "complete looking" one...
i would have to have a muffler if only for the looks and the openess under the seat makes it look, to me, like it doesn't run anymore.   :P  sorry aj   ;)  the yellow on the other hand is sweet!  tell us the truth... are the dents in the front of the tank to cover up a run-in w/ the bars?

good luck guys!

Tell us about your bikes, guys.

The Rickman is a "Series 2"; there are probably a lot of you out there thinking "single seat, wire wheels, orange paint..." - those early Rickmans are far more desirable.

This one has a Laser (Piper lookalike) exhaust now to replace the near-silent Motad. Not sure whether I have a reasonable picture of it.

It looks good in the picture but is let down by the detail. It's almost as if the Rickman brothers spent all their effort on the frame, swingarm, brakes etc and then left the rest to the apprentice. The bracket that holds the clocks to the top yolk (triple tree) is basically a bit of folded aluminium and the seat unit is held on by one small socket head screw.

It's great to ride. Long and stable at speed. Lockheed brakes are awesome.

The engine is a standard F2 so no tricky tuning and maintenance required.

OK, found some pictures of the new exhaust:

AWESOME crazy 4-1 there SteveD!!

But i had to go with the minimalistic look of ajinreno's bike.
I like that "it really runs, but itlooks to be missing something important" look to it.

Man, that was a hard vote to cast! I love both nominees but it's really a case of apples and oranges.

A Cafe I've drooled over since seeing on eBay or the Rickman just dripping with cool.

I can't remember a month when I had such a difficult time deciding. I came back several times without deciding and then missed the close of voting by an hour. Both are absolutely worthy of a win. Congrats to both SteveD and ajinreno.

And it looks like it's Steve D!!!

Congrats, man. I will admit, I did vote for you. Great looking bike. There is just something I don't care for about the line on ajineno's bike that goes from the tank to the seat. It just bugs me a little bit. Everything else about the bike is Smashing!!! Like said earlier, it was a tough choice, I but I had to go for the Rickman.

Congrats to both of you for having killer bikes!!!  ;D
