Sure looks better than my first car! Mine was a 36 Ford rumbleseat coupe. It had no motor, no trans, no wheels, no interior, no glass and no a lot of other $hi+! It left the garage 18 months later with a 10" tall windshield, a 1965 Ford 427ci dual quad V8, 4 speed and chrome everything. One of my pals ran the plating department on third shift for a major light switch manufacturer. Their baths were so big you could have plated a whole 750 Honda in one shot!

Yeah, you've got a really sharp ride there and quite a classic to boot! 8) Should have many happy miles together with that one. My first was a 2 tone green (Mint & Emerald) 56' Plymouth back in 1965'

Just bought my first car a couple months ago too, but yours looks much better. It's a good thing this pic was taken at night because it hids the rust well. Can't argue with the gas milage though.

What year?  When I was a kid, my dad bought a 122S - 1965?  It was the first car I ever drove, though by the time I could drive, it had 3 gears forward and a rusted out chassis.  I used to drive it up and down the driveway - all 900ft of it.  Eventually, the engine broke and the car went away.  Considering that we had it for almost 20 years and that in later years routine maintenance meant replacing the oil the engine burned off, that car did well.  Great memories.

The first car I owned was a used Fiat 128.  Talk about junk; it lasted me a couple of months before it dropped a valve; I couldn't get the head off, so I sold the car to a friend for parts - last I saw, it was upside down in his driveway - he tipped it over since it was easier to get at the parts he needed.

My second car was a 1974 MG Midget.  Great fun, but another piece of junk.  I remember having to push it out of parking spaces because it wouldn't go in reverse and having to get out at stop lights to fiddle with the carbs.

They don't make 'em like they used to. :-)

Of all the first cars you could get, be thankful that's something you WON'T lose in any parking lot. Sweet ride there.  8)
