cb 900f shocks on a 77 cb750k?

will the shocks from a 81 cb900f fit on a 77cb750k?
the bike is in my buddies garage and I just found some shocks on CL...so I cant just go measure them...anyone know if they will bolt right on?": change the ride height? pros, cons? thanKS!

Yes they will bolt right on. But they wont fit with the stock 4-4 exhaust (if the CB900 shocks have the external reservoir). The CB900 shocks are also taller than stock (14`) so may adversely affect handling if at max setting.

4-4 exhaust..ummm no..open straight pipes and cut off just right

The shock is always a 14" shock regardless of the pre-load setting. Putting weight on it will compress it, but relatively speaking it is always longer than stock (13"?) and so wil affect handling by reducing trail and quickening the steering.  It will also affect the way it sits on its stands. The centerstand may not lift the tire off the ground. And check chainguard clearance.

But if the price is right...  ;D

cut, and rethread the shaft. shorten the spring too.
