saw your damage pics, bummer.
on the 650 the cam chain tensioner has to fit in a wee nook in the crankcase (think I missed with the initial install) you can see it thru the oil pan

Is that the "blade" of the tensioner Scunny? If it's anything like Jaffa's 400 it's like cross your fingers time finding the wee slot to bed it into. ;)

yes Hush, the bottom of the tensioner has a wee resting place of it's own, but doesn't like to go there.

Damn expensive to register our old bikes mate, gonna send Phil Gough a line and ask him to consider a cheaper"classic" classification for registration of bikes over 30 years old. ;)

Hey Scunny,

Was gonna ask if your bike stayed up right during the earth quake.... But by the look of your photos it may have been on it's side to start with!!

My bikes were both OK...  My 400 is still strapped to the lift....  ;D

My father in laws bike (CBR600) was on it's side but some how it wasn't damaged!!!

Hope not too much damage around your place!!

Cheers

Rich

they certainly know how to charge Rick.
next wee problem was the tail light not working, been chasing this for a couple of weeks, the brake light worked, the tail light worked when in park. simple fix in the end, stared at the wiring diagram yet again, noticed that the live feed is from the rectifier, started bikey up and what do you know, bloody tail light has always been working.  ;D
