Also guys, I do not have ANY idea how we could have over looked jp's bike, while doing this on Hondas. ::) I am SO embarrassed that this could  and has happened! :-[ It is even in the BOTM Winner's Gallery no less! :(

Color me RED with embarrassment,  Bill :-[

I think I remember seeing that bike! Very cool, like the paint too. No more info on #76 Bill but I'll see what I can find. I'd sure like to see what Kghost comes up with those pipes. Sounds to me something appropriate for the inspiration gallery too.

I'd love to do some pipes for a 750 that resemble the line of these babies:

The seat on Ted's bike (plus several others I have) cam from hotwingsglass.

A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Sorry, the text is hard to read. No squinting smiley face. :P

CX mill turned sideways and given chain final drive. Maybe souped up a little too.

I cannot imagine what had to be done to that CX mill....

I had a hard time in unmodified form to get that thing to awaken. Damn sleepy mill in the HP department.

Hey Bill, set this shot up to "view it" and then click on it to enlarge it. Even I can read it then and that's without my glasses! ::)

Bill, thanks for the tip. I could read it in my file but showed up smaller here. It's usefull to know how to enlarge posted stuff.

754, I'll look forward to your 750 images too!

Havoc, I heard those CX's and (old) Silverwings were reliable and torquey engines. I've seen a couple Cafed and look good if not exactly hard core traditional.

Well it's my understanding that Honda engineered the CX specifically for their Turbo application in the 80's.

That said, a CX 500 and a CX 650 were the target mills. Naturally aspirated the 500 was a dog. I suppose if you re-geared the trans you might have something.

I recently sold one that belonged to a shop regular. He wanted everything out of his little 500. First was exhaust made by me. Then came pods and a jetkit. Then came port and polish. Then came pistons out of I believe a couple of unknown 450 singles. Then the overbores were traded for 650 heads. Then it was some weird crank. The list goes on and on....

All in all we shaved about 100lbs off that sucker by cleaning up the frame and lower cases. Not to mention aluminum swingarm and ducati front suspension. (triple tree and all).

Still was a dog compared to one of my employees 550/4's with only an aftermarket exhaust. I don't question reliable. That thing ran in any configuration and in any type of weather. No leaks no noise nothing.

Maybe I suck at getting to the hidden power in engines.  :'( ;)

Well, I thinks it's quite unique that those engines have been turned sideways and setup for racing. Now, if only the 6cyl. Gold Wing engine was a "V" engine! ::) Can you imagine, a "sideways V6 engine, built to go! :o Oh well, it isn't a "V" engine, so I'll move on. :-\

I don't think that's the case at all. I don't know what the answer is either. ???

                                 Later on, Bill ;)

Frank, like I told you (in an email) I got those photos that you sent me, I saved them to my pc, posted them over at Flickr, resized them to put on here and I can't seem to make it happen yet. It says that they are still too large and if I make them any smaller with the Flickr setup, they'll be too small. It's 12:30 and I need to go for now. Maybe I can figure something out tomorrow evening. I'll sure try! ;)
Sorry I couldn't do it sooner Frank. :(

                             Take care, Bill ;)

No clue myself, have to get that info from 754. Does appear to be using an Interceptor frame though.
