Ecosse, search Harleyson or Harleysons Racing or MC.

A guy found a 15 Douglas motor in a box in his shed in his orchard here, was his grandpas. Another guy I know has a pretty complete 13 with wicker sidecar.

There was a Crocker speedway bike up here, but it has been sold since..

Ecosse, a buddy of mine has a 'Monkey on a Stick" 08 Indian racer, and a Henderson set up like a boardtracker , and more.

To see some of it search Gypsy Motorcycles, should be a website, then look for a visit with Dave, or there is a gallery of his old chopper pics, pretty cool. Also pics of him and Andy picking up a Knuck that sat since the 60,s.. and a clip of Dave riding his 16 Harley, at a swapmeet. lotsa cool stuff on there..

Thanks for the tip 754. I'll do a search.

Jackson...? No road trips with that small tank!

Sunbeam... Speedway racer? It's black and has two wheels, that I do know.

I'm a bit steamed about photobucket dropping some really nice pix. >:(

Someone should bring back this bike... what a cool name!

And while we're at it why not straw hats like the one worn by that guy seen leering from the store?

Thor made all the motors for Indian till about 05.. and made same engines available marked as Thor and others..

I have an old electric drill sorta art-doco ish made by THOR, and it has same logo cast in it.. they are from same town as Waynes World.. lol..

Thanks 754! I love this kind of stuff. Wouldn't mind seeing that drill. Back in the day people made tools attractive, sort of showed pride in what they made maybe. That really is fascinating about the Indian/Thor relationship.

Screw my art degree... I want to be a motorcycle historian!

Them early Indians like the red racer you like, can be decieving, till you see one in real life.. they are about 120, maybe 130 lbs or less and about as long as a bicycle.. very tiny motorcycle..

The Thor  you pictured which is after 1910 to about 15 or so is quite a bit bigger, but probably narrower than you would think. Mybuddys 16 Hd probaby is not any wider than an XL 250.. :o

Come to think of it that Thor does seem a bit bigger from the side.

So 'fess up 754; you are a motorcycle historian aren't you? ;)

I've seen some vintage bikes at the (automobile) vintage festival at Lime Rock in CT but it was a while ago and don't recall much. I'll have to keep on the lookout next time. I have to see these things up close! LOTS of pix if I do.

Looks like a modified pope... at first glance. Then again could be an indian motor in a pope frame.

Give me some time to look that one over.

The motor does look a lot like Indian, but not the tank for pre 20.

It appears pic may be taken in Europe, see writing on wall left side. If it is European motor, that about doubles the possibilities..

Next, where did you see/find the pic..?

That's what I was thinking about the sidewall...

But then again in europe v-twins weren't very popular with the everyday crowd... so they vanished quick.

Might take some serious digging on this one 754

I think ya might be onto something as I think I snagged this from a Euro-site. It does open the spectrum a tad.

I'll try and backtrack folks. I got two good brains on this (havoc,754) so far so I feel good about this!

No pressure. ;D

#11 bike has an early rickman disc brake front end, with Girling caliper.

Man that is a cool frontend to use on a vintage bike!!

try searching rickman disc brake fork( maybe it is disk?)

I am thinking that Dresda Auto started making bike parts??
